The activity involves a pretty emotional journey of the impact of European “settlement” on
Aboriginal people. It is very WA focused and retells individual stories from the past.
It is quite confronting for those who have a version of WA’s History.
The dominating culture writes the history as it seen from their perspective. The truth is there is
another history that many of us don’t know about.
By understanding our past, it is hoped we can take genuine steps to understand the present and
work towards future reconciliation.
